Diogo Jota Remembered: Wolves have announced the induction of Diogo Jota into the club’s Hall of Fame.

The Portuguese footballer tragically passed away in a car crash alongside his younger brother, André Silva, in Spain two weeks ago.

Diogo Jota made over 130 appearances for Wolves between 2017 and 2020.

The Hall of Fame is managed independently by a committee led by club legend John Richards.

Richards stated: “This heartbreaking tragedy has left us all in shock, and we felt compelled to honour Diogo Jota in our own way as quickly as possible.

“Like many, we’re still coming to terms with the news. Diogo was a brilliant player for Wolves, especially during that incredible promotion run under Nuno and our early Premier League seasons.

“Diogo Jota achievements speak for themselves—44 goals for Wolves and 65 more at Liverpool, where he became a Premier League champion. Fans everywhere, especially in Portugal following the Nations League victory this summer, are mourning his loss. That’s why we didn’t want to wait.

“We hope this tribute offers some comfort to Diogo and André’s loved ones. We believe Wolves fans will see this as a heartfelt and well-deserved recognition.”
