FIRST ALERT: Las Vegas Set for Scorching Days

LAS VEGAS, NV – Residents and visitors in Las Vegas are being urged to prepare for extreme heat as temperatures are set to soar in the coming days. The National Weather Service has issued a First Alert warning, predicting daytime highs well above seasonal averages, with some areas expected to reach or exceed 110°F (43°C).

Meteorologists warn that the heatwave will begin intensifying by the weekend, peaking early next week. The scorching temperatures could pose serious health risks, particularly for vulnerable populations such as the elderly, young children, and outdoor workers.

“This is not just a typical hot summer stretch,” said NWS meteorologist Carla Jimenez. “These temperatures are dangerous and can lead to heat-related illnesses if proper precautions aren’t taken.”
