COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s success on the field is well-documented, highlighted by the Buckeyes’ run to a national title during the 2024 season.

Off the field, OSU also stands alone.

Ohio State has the only Division I football program with a perfect Academic Progress Rate score (1,000) in the latest cycle. That includes academic years from 2020-24.

The football team was among seven programs at Ohio State with a perfect score.

OSU had 31 total programs included in the data, accounting for a combined multi-year rate of 990.

Josh Simmons officially signs with Chiefs

Josh Simmons, who was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, has officially signed with his new team.

The four-year, fully-guaranteed deal is worth nearly $15 million.

Simmons started his collegiate career at San Diego State before transferring to Ohio State ahead of the 2023 season.

He started 13 games in 2023 before starting in six games last year. In that sixth game, an Oct. 12 loss at Oregon, Simmons suffered a season-ending injury.
